Meizu 16s Shown Off in Real-life Hands-on Images Ahead of Launch; Retail Box and Price Leaked

The Meizu 16s is launching on April 23 in China. The phone is equipped with flagship hardware and scored one of the highest benchmark scores on AnTuTu beating the likes of ASUS Zenfone 6, Xiaomi Mi 9 and OPPO Reno 10x Zoom smartphones. Ahead of the launch, two hands-on images surfaced on Weibo revealing key details of the Meizu 16s.

According to the freshly leaked real-life hands-on image, the Meizu 16s sports a notch-less display with a very thin bezel up front. The device sports a dual rear camera setup with a 48MP lens being equipped in one of the two cameras. The leaked image also suggests that the phone will likely sport a UD fingerprint sensor and a single selfie camera. Thought design not in flagship-level, the hardware can give a flagship experience to the users.

According to the specifications leaked on TENAA, the Meizu 16s will sport an octa-core chipset clocked at 2.8GHz (most likely the Snapdragon 855). There is an 8GB of RAM paired to 128GB of internal storage. There is also a 6.2-inch AMOLED display and 3,540mAh battery with 24W fast charging support. It runs on FlymeOS 7.3 that is based on Android 9 Pie.

According to the official announcement made by Meizu, the 16s will not sport the 3.5mm headphone jack and also hints us that the company is using better technology to offer improved sound quality. The phone is likely to use dual speakers plus external HiFi decoding amp. Recently, Meizu Mall listed the HiFi adapter with built-in Cirrus Logic CS43131 flagship DAC chip.

Meizu 16s Price for China Leaked

Through a recent leak, the offline price of the Meizu 16s phone is revealed. According to it, the phone is priced at 3,598 Yuan for the 6GB+128GB variant in China in offline stores, which is a bit expensive according to some netizens on Weibo. The Xiaomi 9 and IQOO are priced at around 3,000 yuan in China.

Meizu 16s Retail Box Reveals Key Specifications

The retail box of the upcoming Meizy 16s has been spotted online on Weibo revealing key specifications. The specs listed on the retail box include Snapdragon 855 processor, UD fingerprint sensor, 48MP dual rear camera, 128GB internal storage, 6GB of RAM, NFC support.

The Meizu 16s is now available on pre-booking and sale to begin from April 23 in China. As of now, there is no information regarding the global launch of the phone.
