Life’s good for LG fans!
The Korean giant LG has remained rather inactive in the smartphone market, even as its compatriot Samsung and Chinese brands like Xiaomi, Vivo, and OPPO have taken India by storm. Now, however, it looks as if LG is ready to participate in the competition. It plans to make its entry by launching a new smartphone as a part of the latest series which will only be sold online in India.
The name and exact details for this smartphone have not been confirmed yet, but it is expected to be a budget-friendly phone targeted at the segment of the Indian market interested in affordable prices.
Probable features as seen in the pictures:-
- Triple-camera setup
- Fashionable gradient colour scheme.
- Rear camera setup including a camera sensor encircled in a red ring.
- Furthermore, an LED flash will be featured below the module.
- A fingerprint sensor on the rear panel
- LG logo placed towards the bottom.
- The power and volume buttons on the right spine of the handset,
- Antenna lines placed at the top as well as the bottom.
The LG smartphone is expected to have a Full Vision display and Artificial Intelligence features. The handset will adopt several features from the brand’s flagship G and V series as well.
It is interesting to notice that this information about this upcoming LG smartphone was received right after Samsung announced that its own online-only Galaxy M-series won over a user base of 2 million in less than 3 months of release. It is indeed a global-first for LG to launch this new online only, India-focused smartphone series. This shows the brand’s ambition to create a niche for itself in the world’s second largest smartphone market. It is speculated that the first handset in the new line up would be launched in a month’s time. We will be sharing more information over the next few days, therefore stay tuned!
