South Korean electronics giant LG quietly launched the G8s ThinQ in India. The new LG G8s ThinQ is equipped with Snapdragon 855 processor and comes with MIL-STD 810G-certified build and IP68 dust and water resistance rating. The highlight of the device is the ToF Z camera that activates features like Hand ID, Air Motion and Face Unlock. The Hand ID identifies the vein pattern in the user’s hand and unlocks the device.

The LG G8s ThinQ comes in a single 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant in India. The phone will be available in three color options –  Mirror Black, Mirror Teal, and Mirror White color. The LG G8s ThinQ is priced at Rs 36,990 and will go on sale starting tomorrow across all the authorized offline retail and online stores in India.

The LG G8s ThinQ comes with the latest 2.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 855 processor that is made using the 7nm architecture and paired with an Adreno 640 GPU. The device flaunts a 6.2-inch full-HD+ OLED FullVision display having an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, pixel density of 564ppi and pixel resolution of 1080×2248. Under the hood, there is a 6GB RAM that is paired with 128GB storage. At the rear, there is a triple camera setup that comprises of 12MP + 13MP + 12MP sensors. At the front, there is an 8MP camera and a ToF Z Camera that helps in Hand ID, Air Motion, and Face Unlock.

The LG G8s ThinQ is fuelled by a 3,550mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 and Qi wireless charging. The battery can get 50 percent to 90 percent charge in less than 30 minutes. The device flaunts Corning Gorilla Glass 6 topping on the front and back. The fingerprint reader is placed at the rear and there is a Type-C USB port replacing the micro USB. The smartphone runs Android 9 Pie out of the box.
