The South Korean giant LG had launched the G Pad lV in 2017. After that there was no news about the fifth generation G Pad until September 2019, when it was suddenly spotted on National Radio Research Agency (RRA), South Korea, Android Enterprise and also LG’s own servers. The certifications and the company servers did reveal some of the key specifications of the device and confirmed the model number. Now, the device bearing the model number LM-T600 is spotted on the Geekbench website, confirming the earlier leaked specs.
LG G Pad 5 Geekbench Listing Details:
The LG G Pad 5 would succeed the G Pad 4, which was launched in 2017. The device comes with the model number LM-T600 as per the listing on Geekbench. The device is equipped with a 2.19GHz quad-core processor paired to a 3GB RAM. The device will run Android 9 Pie out of the box. The LG G Pad 5 was earlier spotted on the LG internal servers revealing a 3-year old Snapdragon 821 chipset.
As the device is benchmarked on Geekbench v5, scores will be less compared to the Geekbench v4. The G Pad 5 scored 347 in single-core tests and 909 in multi-core tests. If we compare the scores with the other Snapdragon 821-powered smartphones like Google Pixel, HTC U Ultra, and OnePlus 3T, the scores of the G Pad 5 nearly matched up with them.
In a sperate leak, folks at XDA revealed, the LG G Pad 5 would sport a 10.1-inch 1920×1200 (16:10) display, supports LTE, fingerprint recognition, and has no NFC. The device would have a 3GB RAM + 32GB storage as one of the options. It is also said that the tablet is inferior to the 2018 Galaxy Tab S4, but is a bit competitive with the Galaxy Tab S5e in terms of the specifications or internal hardware.
We have to wait and see what LG is going to achieve with the G Tab 5 that comes with all outdated specifications.
