Jio Fiber prepaid plan users can access Hotstar, Voot, Sony LIV, and JioCinema by subscribing to plans above Rs 849. Hence, subscribers of the JioFiber Gold plan and above are entitled to avail free access to Jio OTT app subscription.
JioFiber OTT App Subscriptions: All You Need to know
Reliance Jio has launched a total of six Jio Fiber plans back in September. The six broadband plans include Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Platinum, and Titanium. Currently, Jio is offering a free monthly access to JioSaavn and JioCinema subscription for the first three times to the users of Bronze and Silver plan. The monthly prepaid tariff for JioFiber plans start from Rs 699 ( Bronze plan) and are available until Rs 8,499 (Titanium plan). Now, in the latest news, Jio has made it clear that JioFiber users can avail free OTT subscription to Hotstar, Voot, JioCinema, and SonyLIV on plans above Rs 849. Hence, the users opting for the JioFiber plans above Gold plan are eligible for free OTT subscriptions.
Jio would also provide access to ZEE5 and SunNXT subscriptions in the coming days. Jio Fiber users can access the subscriptions via Jio 4K Set-Top box. The set-top box comes pre-loaded with the JioTV+ app, which acts as a content aggregator bringing content from other apps. So, the Live TV channels of the OTT service provider would be present in the Jio TV+ app itself. It is important to note that when it comes to Hotstar, Jio is offering free Hotstar VIP membership valued at Rs 365 and not the premium Hotstar membership that is priced at Rs 999. It would be interesting to see how the new move from Jio would succeed in luring more customers to its platform.
