Jio Rs 149 Prepaid Plan Now Bundles 300 Non-Jio Voice Calling Minutes; Validity Reduced to 24 Days

Jio 149 revised prepaid plan

Reliance Jio has revised the Rs 149 prepaid plan to offer 300 minutes of non-Jio calling minutes. On the flip side, the validity of the plan has been reduced to 24 days from the earlier 28 days. The other calling and data benefits of the prepaid plan remain the same. Also, the complimentary subscription benefits remain intact and offer free access to Jio TV and Jio Cinema. The telecom operator has now moved the Rs 149 prepaid plan to the Jio All-in-one recharge plans section, joining the likes of Rs 222, Rs 333, Rs 444, and Rs 555 plans.

Reliance Jio Rs 149 Prepaid Plan Bundles 300 non-Jio Calling Minutes

The revised Jio Rs 149 plan offers unlimited voice calls (Jio to Jio), 1.5GB daily data, 100 SMSes, and 300 Jio to non-Jio calling minutes. The prepaid plan comes with a validity of 24 days. Earlier, the same prepaid plan offered unlimited voice calls (Jio-to-Jio), 1.5GB daily data, 100 SMSes per day valid for 28 days. Although Jio has bundled the Rs 149 prepaid plan with 300 non-Jio calling minutes, the validity of the plan has been reduced by 4 days.

Reliance Jio Rs 399 Prepaid plan has been the go-to option for Jio subscribers and is arguably the most popular plan offered by the telco. But the plan now ships with IUC top-up vouchers offering a varying number of IUC minutes. On the other hand, Rs 149 prepaid plan is the preferred recharge option for monthly recharge users. However, the newly revised Rs 149 plan might certainly disappoint Jio customers owing to the reduction in the validity by 4 days. The telco has included the revised Rs 149 prepaid plan under the Jio All-in-one Plans section on the official website.

How Does the Jio Rs 149 Prepaid Plan Fare When Compared to its Rival Telcos?

The revised Jio Rs 149 prepaid plan bundles 300 non-Jio calling minutes. The plan comes with a reduced validity of 24 days as compared to the earlier offering of 28 days. As a result, there would be a reduction in the overall data benefits. Jio’s rival telco’s Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea have Rs 169 plan that offers 1GB daily data benefits, unlimited voice calling, 100SMSes per day valid for 28 days. Jio certainly gains the upper hand, when it comes to the daily data offering of 1.5GB, but lags behind when it comes to a validity period.
