We are just a few days away from the Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) 42nd AGM, and we have some exciting news in store for you. It appears that Jio has started the wider rollout of landline service for Jio GigaFiber subscribers who registered for the preview offer. According to Gadgets 360, some subscribers who opted for GigaFiber preview offer have started receiving notifications on their MyJio app. The selected users need to verify their mobile number to activate the service. “JioFixedVoice” will be the name of the Jio’s landline service.
It appears that the company is sending notifications with JioFixedVoice invitation to only the selected subscribers who registered for the preview program. The subscribers who have paid a security deposit of Rs 4,500 are found to be eligible for testing the JioFixedVoice landline service. On the other hand, the subscribers who paid Rs 2,500 and received single-band router are not eligible to test the service.
Reliance Jio has started testing triple play plan among its employees in March 2019. The plan offers unlimited voice calling benefits, high-speed data up to 100GB, access to Jio GigaFiber, Jio apps, Jio Home TV, and comes with a validity of 28 days. Later the company offered its landline service to select Jio GigaFiber subscribers having a landline connection that uses the Jio GigaHub Home Gateway. It is highly speculated that Mukesh Ambani might unleash a slew of announcements in the upcoming AGM, apart from the highly anticipated commercial launch of Jio GigaFiber.
