Of late, Vodafone has been revising its prepaid plans to stay afloat in the competition. In the latest move, the telecom operator has revised its Rs 255 prepaid plan to offer 2.5GB data per day as compared to the earlier data allotment of 2GB. Along with additional data benefits, the Vodafone users can enjoy unlimited local, STD and roaming calls, 100SMS per day. The plan carries a validity of 28 days.
The Rs 255 plan also grants users complimentary access to the Vodafone Play app. All in all, the Rs 255 plan offers a total of 70GB data for 28 days. Recently, Vodafone has introduced another plan Rs 229 that offers 2GB daily data per day. Hence, it has forced the company to revamp its Rs 255 plan with increased data benefits.
How Vodafone Rs 255 prepaid plan fares when compared to the prepaid plans of Reliance Jio and Airtel?
The leading telecom operator, Reliance Jio Rs 198 prepaid plan offers 2GB data per day, along with unlimited calling, 100SMS, and access to its web-based applications. The plan comes with a validity of 28 days. Similarly, Airtel Rs 299 plan offers 2.5GB data per day, unlimited calls, 100SMS, and the plan comes with a validity of 28 days. Along with it, Airtel also offers free Amazon subscription worth Rs 129 to its subscribers. Reliance Jio does not have any plan that offers 2.5GB data per day. The Rs 299 plan of Jio offers 3G data benefits per day.
When you compare the entry-level prepaid plans of Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone, Jio fares better when it comes to affordability. The Mukesh-Ambani-led telco offers 2GB data benefits for Rs 198, which is much less than Airtel and Vodafone. Airtel offers the same data benefits for Rs 249 plan, whereas Vodafone charges Rs 229 for similar data benefits. So, as of now, still, Reliance Jio gains the upper hand than other telecom operators.
