Huawei is launching its premium mid-range smartphones, dubbed Nova 5, Nova 5i and Nova 5 Pro on June 21 in China. Huawei today officially announced through its Weibo account that the Nova 5 series smartphones will sport a 32MP selfie camera with support for portrait super night scene camera mode.
As for the specifications and features of the Huawei Nova 5 series, the Nova 5 Pro comes with a waterdrop notch display, whereas, the Nova 5 and Nova 5i are expected to feature a punch-hole display. In the camera department, the TENAA listing and leaked renders confirmed quad-camera setup on the Nova 5i and Nova 5 Pro respectively. There’s likely to be a 48MP camera in all the three phones. The Nova 5i is expected to pack the Kirin 710 chipset, whereas, the Nova 5 and 5 Pro may be equipped with the flagship Kirin 980 chipset.
In addition, the Nova 5 Pro supports 40W fast charging technology, which is the company’s first Nova model outside the P series and Mate series.
With the 32MP selfie camera, the Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5i and Nova 5 Pro stand beside the likes of Redmi Y3, Vivo V15/V15 Pro, Huawei P30 Pro series, Samsung Galaxy A70, and Huawei Nova 4e. Lastly, the Nova 5 series price will likely start at CNY 1500 in China, which translates to INR 15,500 in India or $220 in the US.
