Huawei is launching Nova 5 Pro, Nova 5 and Nova 5i on June 21 at an event in China. The company has been revealing the key specs of the phones daily through its Weibo account. Yesterday, Huawei officially announced that it would be the world’s first company to possess two 7nm processors and they will be equipped in the Nova 5 series. That said, the upcoming 7nm chipset is expected to be the Kirin 810 SoC. Today, a new leak appeared on Weibo, which revealed the key specifications of all the three smartphones.
According to the leak, the Huawei Nova 5 Pro will sport the Kirin 980 chipset, and Nova 5i will sport the Kirin 710 chipset, whereas, the Nova 5 will come with the upcoming 7nm Kirin 810 chipset. This suggests that the Nova 5 Pro will be yet another flagship device from Huawei, Nova 5 is a mid-range device, and the Nova 5i will be a budget device
In the camera department, the Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro carries a 32MP selfie camera and 48MP + 16MP + 8MP +2MP quad camera setup in the rear. Whereas, the Nova 5i will sport 24MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP quad cameras along with 24MP selfie camera. Regarding the display, the Nova 5 Pro and Nova 5 will sport a 6.39-inch display, and the Nova 5i will equip 6.4-inch display. Besides, the Nova 5 and Pro variant will be powered by a 3500mAh battery with 40W fast charging technology. The Pro variant will also support NFC.
In another official Weibo post, Huawei confirmed that Nova 5 series would support 40W fast charge technology.
As for the pricing and availability, the Nova 5 Pro already went on pre-sale via VMall in China and will be launched on June 21 alongside Nova 5 and Nova 5i in China. As of now, there is no concrete confirmation regarding the pricing details of all the phones. We also expect the three devices to launch in India very soon.
