Good news for those who were curious about Huawei’s flagship Mate series!
According to a slide shared by company officials at a Russian conference, the Shenzhen-based smartphone giant is working on launching its Mate 30 5G in December. It would be the third 5G smartphone introduced by the company after Mate X and Mate 20 X 5G.
Though the timeline focuses primarily on the Russian market, it could also be a good indicator of when we can expect the entire Mate 30 family to show up in stores across the globe.
The leaked renders of the upcoming Huawei Mate 30 Pro became available online a few days back. These suggest that the front of the device would get very thin bezels along with a hole-punch design and a dual-lens front-facing camera in it. According to the renders, the device is expected to come in black, red, and blue colors.
Earlier a Chinese website IThome had reported that the upcoming Mate 30 Pro will be powered by a Kirin 985 SoC, a HiSilicon Balong 5000 5G modem, and will support a faster 90Hz refresh rate for the display.
The report also stated that just like the Huawei P30 Pro, the Huawei Mate 30 5G is also expected to have 5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom support. The phone will have a fairly capacious battery of 4200mAh and a 55W SuperCharge fast charging feature. Furthermore, Mate 30 Pro is also rumored to come with a 6.71-inch curved OLED display, with a QHD+ resolution.
