Huawei Mate 20 X (5G) was launched on July 26 and is up for pre-orders in China. The 5G smartphone from Huawei will go on sale starting August 16 via all the popular e-commerce stores in China. Ahead of its sale, the Huawei Mate 20 X (5G) received its first OTA update, which brought an important camera feature.

The first OTA update for the Huawei Mate 20 X (5G) comes in the form of EMUI update that brings 30x zoom capability to the camera. With the new update, the 5G switch is set in off state by default. In case you need to turn on the 5G, you can go to Settings > Wireless & Network > Mobile Network Interface to enable 5G network. Huawei Mate 20 X 5G is not the first device with such a high camera zoom capability; OPPO Reno 10X has 10x optical zoom and as much as 60x digital zoom capability.

Huawei Mate 20 X (5G) is not much different from the Mate 20 X 4G version except for the support for 5G network. The Mate 20 X (5G) comes only in 8GB/256GB variant, whereas, the Mate 20 X comes in 6GB/128GB configuration. The other significant difference lies in the battery capacity. The Mate 20 X (5G) is powered by a 4,200mAh battery with support for 40W fast charging, whereas, the Mate 20 X ships with 5,000mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging.

The Huawei Mate 20 X (5G) will go on sale starting August 16 in China and is priced at CNY 6,199 (roughly translates to INR 62,000 in India).
