Honor V30 Series Confirmed to Sport Kirin 990 SoC, Could be Priced at CNY 4999

Honor V30 series with 5G support is launching on November 26 in the Chinese market. With very few days remaining for the launch, a lot more information is getting spilled both from official and unofficial sources. Today, Honor took to its Weibo account to announce that the Honor V30 series will sport the latest Kirin 990 5G chipset. In a separate leak, an alleged poster got leaked on Weibo revealing the price of the Honor V30. Let’s take a look at what we know from these two reports.

Honor V30 Series Confirmed to Sport Kirin 990 SoC

The Honor V30 along with its Pro variant will sport the HiSilicon Kirin 990 processor which comes with an integrated 5G modem. The chipset also offers support for SA (Standalone) and NSA (Non-Standalone) dual-mode 5G connectivity. Interestingly, Kirin 990 SoC had won the Best 5G Chip award at the China Mobile 2019 Smart Hardware Quality Report Conference.

Honor V30 Could be Priced at CNY 4999

A new image that was spotted in Weibo suggests that the Honor V30 will carry a price tag of CNY 4999 in China. The alleged poster also reveals the Matrix Camera imaging technology, which was also trademarked at TMView a few days ago. The device will also likely sport Cine lens like we have seen in the Huawei Mate 30 Pro.

Earlier reports suggest that the Honor V30 will sport a 60MP camera which is made up of Sony IMX686 lens. The leaked renders suggest a quad-camera setup at the rear and a dual-camera setup in the front. Honor, for the first time, is using a dual-punch hole display on the Honor V30.
