Honor Play 9A appeared in leaks just recently, and thanks to leakers we now know most of the specifications and design prior to the official launch. We now have the official information from the Huawei‘s sub-brand Honor that the Play 9A will be launched in China on March 30. The Weibo post put by Honor doesn’t give us much intel about the device, except for the launch date. There isn’t anything left for the company to hide as much of the specs are leaked now.
The Honor Play 9A, unlike the other Honor devices, comes with a MediaTek processor, which is said to be the Helio P35 SoC. The chipset seems to be offering the best mid-range processing power to smartphones and we are seeing a plenty of smartphones equipping it. In the camera department, the Play 9A equips a dual camera setup on the rear and a single camera inside the waterdrop notch. The leaks points to a 13+2MP cameras on the back and an 8MP camera on the front. Powering the device is a massive 5000mAh battery that comes with a standard 10W charger. It will be a 6.3-inch IPS display with a waterdrop-style notch on the front. The device will be backed by 4GB RAM and users will get to choose between 64GB and 128GB storage options.
Going by the specifications, we expect the Honor Play 9A to be priced around CNY 1000 in China. In India, if it gets launched, we can expect the price to be around Rs 10,000. We have seen devices like Honor 7A, etc in India, hence Play 9A launch in the country is no surprising.
