Vivo has officially announced the launch of the Y90 smartphone. The page also went live on the official Vivo shop, revealing the price and full specifications. On 24th July, we reported exclusively that the smartphone was launched in India and went on sale via offline stores.
Vivo, the Chinese smartphone company, has just added a new model to the Y series portfolio. The company today launched the new Y90 smartphone in India for price-conscious consumers. The mobile is now available on sale in offline retail stores in India. Our sources at the offline retail chain confirmed that the Vivo Y90 is available for purchase at Rs 6,990 for the 2GB + 16GB model. The availability of the device in online stores is not known yet, but we expect it go on sale via Flipkart and Amazon very soon.
Vivo Y90 Specifications and Features:
The Vivo Y90 is equipped with a 2GHz 12nm MediaTek Helio A22 Quad-core chipset and comes in a single memory variant – 2GB RAM + 16GB storage. As for the camera, the Vivo Y90 comes with a 5MP camera (f1.8) at the front and a single 8MP camera (f2.0) at the rear. Powered by a 4030mAh battery, the device runs Funtouch OS 4.1, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Sadly, there is no Android Pie out of the box, but we can expect the Pie update to roll out soon.
The Vivo Y90 measures 155.11mm×75.09mm×8.28mm and weighs 163.5g. The device sports a 6.22-inch Halo FullView HD+ display having a resolution of 720×1520p and a screen-to-body ratio of 88.6%. Connectivity features include 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0, GPS, Dual SIM with 4G VoLTE feature. For additional security, the device comes with AI Face unlock feature.
As for the pricing, the Vivo Y90 is available at a price of Rs 6,990 for the 2GB + 16GB variant. The device is available in two colors – Gold, and Black. Interested buyers can visit nearby retail stores and grab the smartphone today.
