Vivo is launching a new smartphone under a new series in India soon. Vivo has smartphones under Y, V, X, NEX and Z series as of now in India. For the first time, the company is launching a new mobile under S- series, which is said to be the Vivo S1. The smartphone that is launching in India shares no resemblance with the Chinese model and comes with entirely different specifications. Vivo S1: Specifications and Features
As seen in the image above, the Vivo S1 looks excellent due to the gradient finish, which certainly adds a charm to the device. The Vivo S1 Indian model will come with 12nm MediaTek Helio P65 octa-core processor that was launched in June and probably, the Vivo S1 would be the world’s first smartphone to sport it. The Helio P 60 features an octa-core design and features two Cortex-A75 cores operating up to 2GHz and also has six Cortex-A55 cores, which promises 25 percent more performance than the older cores. Vivo S1 would be a 4GB + 128GB memory variant apart from the 6GB and 8GB RAM variants.
With a 6.38-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, the Vivo S1 will bear a waterdrop notch and Screen Touch ID. The Vivo S1 will be powered by a 4500mAh battery with support for Dual Engine Fast Charging feature. According to Vivo, the dual engine fast charging technology would be two times faster than the standard charging technology. The device will sport a triple camera setup on the rear that is composed of 16MP + 8MP Wide Angle Lens + 2MP, and for selfie lovers, there is a 32MP AI camera in the front. Lastly, the smartphone will run on Android 9 Pie OS out of the box.
Vivo S1: Expected Price in India, Availability
As for the pricing, the Vivo S1 is expected to be priced under Rs 20,000 bracket in India and will launch in early August. The smartphone will also be available for purchase at major offline stores and will not be an online-exclusive model as per our sources.
