Update 1 on August 1, 2019: The Vivo S1 pre-orders have begun in offline stores in India. According to our sources, pre-order offers include 7.5% HDFC Bank cashback, up to Rs 2,500 for payments made through Paytm and attractive EMI offers from Bajaj Finserv and HDB Financial Services. The Vivo S1 comes in Skyline blue and Diamond Black colors in India. We also got to know that only 4GB RAM variant is up for pre-orders at offline stores.
Vivo has scheduled the launch event for the Vivo S1 smartphone on August 7 in India. The model is said to be the first in the S series lineup for the company. The device comes with a MediaTek Helio P65 processor. Vivo first launched the S1 model in Indonesia a few days ago, and it is available only in 4GB + 128GB configuration in the country. Vivo is adding two more variants for the Indian market – our trusted sources from the retail chain revealed.
As per our sources, the Vivo S1 will arrive in 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB configurations in India. The latter two variants are the new additions to the Vivo S1 in India. As for the pricing, the 4GB/128GB model will be priced at Rs 17,990; the 6GB/128GB model will be priced at Rs 19,990, and then finally, the 8GB/128GB will have a price tag of Rs 24,990. In addition, there is a rumor that there will also be a 4GB + 64GB model, but there is no concrete evidence to that; hence, we cannot surely comment on that.
Vivo S1 Specifications, Features
The Vivo S1 is the first smartphone to sport the MediaTek Helio P65 SoC onboard, which is aided by Mali-G52 GPU. The Helio P65 is a 2GHz Octacore chipset that offers support for 48MP camera, and up to 8GB of RAM. The device houses a triple camera setup on the rear which is comprised of a 16MP + 8MP + 2MP sensors. For selfies, there is a 32MP camera inside the waterdrop notch. The smartphone flaunts a 6.38-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display, measures 159.53×75.23×8.13mm and weighs 179.5 grams. Powered by a 4500mAh battery, the mobile supports Dual Engine Fast Charging. The company has added an in-display fingerprint sensor.
As for the availability, the Vivo S1 will launch on August 7 in India. The device is now available for pre-orders in offline retail stores. When launched, Vivo would make the device available on major e-commerce stores as well in India.
