Dish TV Partners with MX Player to Offer Seamless Video-On-Demand Content on d2h Stream and Dish SMRT Hub

Dish TV, one of India’s leading DTH operator, has partnered with MX player to offer seamless video-on-demand content to its users. With this partnership, the Dish TV has added one more app in the Android-based connected devices that include d2h Stream and Dish SMRT Hub. The userbase of both platforms will now be able to consume a large range of content. The Dish TV customers will now be able to access MX Originals, TV shows, Music Videos, and Movies across multiple genres and languages. The Android TV STBs such as Dish SMRT Hub and d2h stream now come pre-loaded with the MX player app. 

Besides offering MX player, an Android-based set-top box offers a host of features that include Chromecast, Google Play, built-in Google Assistant. The Android box also offers access to popular OTT platforms like Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Zee5, Voot, ALTBalaji, and many more. Dish TV also started offering content from its streaming app, “Watcho.”

Strategic Partnership between Dish TV and MX Player is Mutually Beneficial 

Mr. Anil Dua, the Group CEO and Executive Director of Dish TV India Limited and Mr. Abhishek Joshi, Head of Marketing & Business Partnerships at MX Player, are pleased with the strategic partnership. Anil Dua opined that the partnership would benefit the userbase of DTH operators who use Android boxes at their homes. On the other hand, Abhishek Joshi said the partnership helps reach its content across more users with the help of Dish TV.
