BSNL has now revamped its newly launched Rs 151 Abhinandan plan to offer 1.5GB data per day. The latest move from the state-run telco would keep it at par with Reliance Jio Rs 149 plan that offers similar data benefits. The plan now ships to offer extra 500MB of daily data. At the time of its launch, BSNL offered 1GB data benefits per day, and now the state-run telco is offering an extra 50% data to its subscribers.
BSNL Rs 151 prepaid recharge plan details after revision
To recall, BSNL Abhinandan plan Rs 151 was initially launched in June 2019 and offered 1GB daily data, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day valid for 24 days. After revision, the BSNL Rs 151 plan now offers 50% more data than earlier and gives 1.5GB data per day. The other calling, SMS benefits, and validity remain the same. The revised plan is already available for recharge for prepaid customers. After the exhaustion of the 1.5GB data limit per day, the data speed would be reduced to 40Kbps.
BSNL Rs 151 plan vs Reliance Jio Rs 149 plan
When you compare both the prepaid plans, it is worth noting that BSNL lags behind Reliance Jio when it comes to the validity period. BSNL Rs 151 plan is valid for 24 days, whereas Jio offers similar benefits for 28 days. Further, Reliance Jio surpasses BSNL in offering data benefits on the 4G network as compared to BSNL, wherein the users have to avail data benefits on either 2G/3G networks. Both the telecom operators offer similar calling and SMS benefits for the entire validity period.
BSNL has been steadily gathering pace in recent times with its regular offering of consumer-centric plans. Reliance Jio is still the leading telecom operator in India, with Airtel, Vodafone Idea and BSNL right behind it. Recently, BSNL has launched 4G services in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh to join the elite league of other 4G telecom service providers in India.
