BSNL launches STV 96 and STV 236 with 10GB data benefits per day in areas with functional 4G network

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched two new data-centric prepaid plans, STV 96 and STV236 in select circles having an active 4G network. The two prepaid plans offer massive 10GB data per day with varying validities. BSNL of late has been constantly in the news with its slew of consumer-centric prepaid recharge plans to attract more customers to its platform. Recently BSNL seems to have upped the ante and is looking to expand its 4G network across the country to take on Reliance Jio. Recently, the state-run telco has inaugurated 4G services in Andhra Pradesh. Let’s take a closer look at the details and benefits of the newly launched STVs.

BSNL STV 96: Details and Benefits

The first data-centric STV that BSNL has launched include STV 96. The new prepaid plan is valid in areas where the BSNL 4G network remains active. The state-run telco has listed some of the eligible areas in Maharastra with an active 4G network. They include Akola, Bhandara, Beed, Jalna, Osmanabad, and other nearby regions. Under STV 96, subscribers can avail 10GB daily data benefits per day and the prepaid plan comes with a validity of 28 days. The prepaid STV 96 does not include any voice calling and SMS benefits. The STV 96 prepaid plan is valid only for a limited period.

BSNL STV 236: Details and Benefits

The second prepaid plan STV 236 ships with 10GB data per day, similar to STV 96. However, STV 236 comes with a validity period of 84 days. Similar to the earlier prepaid plan, the STV 296 does not offer calling and SMS benefits to the subscribers.

With the introduction of these two new STVs, BSNL is looking to lure customers to its network in 4G active regions. Considering the data benefits, both STV 96 and STV 236 are the most attractive data-centric prepaid plans available right now. But, since the prepaid plans do not bundle any calling and SMS benefits, it would be interesting to see the customer’s approach towards the adoption of STV 96 and STV 236.
