The leading telecom operators Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, and BSNL are involved in the intense competition in the telecom space to establish supremacy. Although Reliance Jio seems to enjoy the lion’s share when it comes to the user base, the other telcos seem to be rapidly catching up. In the latest move, BSNL has launched two new prepaid plans dubbed Rs 1,001 and Rs 1,399 prepaid plans in Andhrapradesh and Telangana circles. Both the long term plans come with a  validity of 270 days and are only available during the promotional period of 90 days with effect from July 25, 2019. The state-owned telecom operator launched these prepaid recharge plans on the occasion of Bonalu festival. Without any further delay, let’s have a glimpse at the details of both these prepaid plans.

The state-run telecom firm launched the new Rs 1,001 plan with a focus on voice calling customers. The new prepaid plan offers unlimited voice calling to the users except for roaming in Delhi and Mumbai. The validity of the plan stays for 270 days. Apart from this, the plan comes bundled with a total of 9GB data and 750 SMS for the entire validity period.

Present Scenario of BSNL

BSNL certainly lags when it comes to offering 4G network as compared to Airtel, Vodafone, and Jio. But the government-led telco has succeeded in attracting new customers and retain old customers through its consumer-centric moves. BSNL has been continuously launching new prepaid offers, revamping the existing plans, and offering freebies to the subscribers. BSNL has recently launched “Star membership program” with exclusive benefits to prepaid customers. Not long ago, Vodafone has revamped its long-term Rs 1,699 prepaid plan to offer additional data benefits to the subscribers. It would be interesting to see how the new prepaid plans from BSNL would impact the subscribers in both Andhrapradesh and Telangana.
