Asus is all set to launch its much-awaited Zenfone 6 on May 16 in Valencia, Spain. But ahead of its launch, the company has flaunted a glimpse of the smartphone via a teaser on Twitter, which went viral on social media recently. One of the most interesting things that one could notice in the teaser is the bezel-less display that skips the notch completely. It is interesting to note that this pattern has been adopted by the company for the first time. The teaser posted by the company’s official handle on Twitter on Thursday. It carried the first look of the device and quoted it with “Embrace the extraordinary revolution.” It further hashtagged the product with “#ZenFone6 #DefyOrdinary,” which could suggest a distinct design.
According to the picture shared on Twitter, the device carries a tall and border-less display surrounded by a shiny frame and round-cut edges. On the side, the volume buttons and power button can be seen. However, there is no hint as what pattern it would follow for the selfie camera but according to the previous reports, it is said to come with dual-slider design with dual front and back lenses, which would be unique if it really makes through. The company did not provide any hints about the specifications of the smartphone but there is a link with the teaser that opens to Asus official site of Zenfone 6 and reveals the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon. It is also provided with a timer video, which reflects the dual camera set up in a horizontal pattern.
According to the rumours, the smartphone features a full HD+ display of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels resolution and may have a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The device would be equipped with the Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor and this information was first revealed by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website, which came last month. Also as per the AnTuTu listing, it would run on Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. It would be available in 6GB RAM variant and 128GB internal storage option as well. It is tough to speak about the price of the smartphone yet, but based on the teaser and the previous leaks, the smartphone is sure to fill in the flagship list of the company.
Since the device is confirmed to go official on May 16 in Valencia, Spain, there is no word of releasing the same in India. One it will be launched in Spain, we can have a clear idea of the specs and pricing of the smartphone.
