Asus is gearing up to launch its gaming-centric smartphone called ROG Phone 2 on July 23 in China. The smartphone is touted to come with some best industry-first features like 120Hz display, and now the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chip, which is specially developed for gaming and VR. The company announced that the ROG Phone 2 would equip Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC that is coupled with Adreno 640 GPU to bring the extraordinary gaming experience to the users. Asus ROG Phone 2, according to the hands-on images, comes without a notch display. Thin bezels are present all around the corners of the device. There’s an option in the phone to switch between 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz displays. The design looks like a typical ROG Phone design suitable for heavy gaming.
Asus has partnered with Tencent to bring the exclusive gaming experience to the gaming pro users. The 120Hz display combined with Snapdragon 855 Plus chip and Tencent partnership will be an outstanding experience to the users. With the SD855 Plus running at 2.96GHz compared to 2.84GHz of SD855, there will be a 4.2% improvement in the performance of the phone.
