HTC has launched its U series in India with U Ultra and U Play smartphones. The smartphones are supportive of 64 GB storage. The prices of U Ultra and U Play are Rs 59,990 and Rs 39,990 respectively.
The smartphone HTC U Ultra will be available from March 6th and HTC U Play will be available from mid-March. There is good news for Standard Bank Debit and credit card holders as they can avail a cashback of 7.5 percent.
The HTC U Ultra embodies a glass metal design with a 5.7 inch screen having a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The mobile phone has a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone is powered a Snapdragon 821 processor paired with 4GB RAM. The internal memory can be expanded up to 2TB via SD card. Talking about the camera, the phone boasts a 16 megapixels front camera with UltraPixel mode and 1080p video. It has a 12 megapixels rear camera with laser autofocus and optical image stabilisation.
The striking feature of the smartphone is its second screen, which places itself above the main display. It is similar to LG V20, which also comes with a secondary display. The purpose of second screen display is offered to display information, which will include weather forecasts, upcoming events or other personalized notifications. The second screen will have 160 x 1040 pixels. The smartphone flaunts HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi speakers.
Coming to HTC U Play, the smartphone possess a 16 megapixel primary camera with BSI sensor and PDAF, OIS and f/2.0 aperture. The secondary camera too is of 16 megapixels. Both the cameras support full HD 1080p video recording at 30fps. It uses company’s USonic technology for sound output. The 4G VoLTE enabled smartphone is backed by a 2,500 mAh battery.
