From Retailers to E-tailers

October is generally tagged as the month of fun & festivities in India. The month takes pride in harboring festivals like the Navratras, Dussehra and Deepawali so, it is the much-awaited time of the year with excitement underway and the warmth of kinship in the air. Festivals especially in India are marked by ultra-enthusiasm in terms of food, clothing, decorations, get-togethers and the list is never ending when it comes to celebrations and entertainment.

Festive shopping begins months before the celebratory season actually sets in. Looking at hindsight, initial purchases for the festivals were mainly dependent upon the local street vendors and a few other famous stores where most of the shoppers usually flocked to. Choices were restricted to the number of stores, their accessibility and the variety of products that each one had on offer.  People in tier 1 and tier 2 cities preferred shopping in and around the areas that they lived in. Tier 3 cities at the same time did not boast of a vast variety when it came to the festival staples so people were always confined in terms of choices and product selections.

Talking of the upcoming and modern-day shopping scenario- shopping is just a click away. The number of online shopping sites in India has seen an upsurge in recent times. Every E-tailer especially during a festive period offers various coupons and offers that lure us into succumbing. Competition in this sector has led to price wars that are obviously very good for the customers because we end up getting the best of the best deals from the companies. Recently, my inbox was filled with notifications from different E-commerce companies. With Jabong launching its ‘#YouAreTheFestival’ campaign, Flipkart began its ‘Big Billion Days’ sale last week wooing customers with an umpteen number of Flipkart discount coupons and offers while Amazon and Snapdeal also boasted of an online festive season sale. Such big time deals will continue till the festival of Deepawali which definitely makes the month of October- The Shoppers’ Delight. The major plus is the doorstep delivery that most of these E-tailers do. It is a boon especially during peak festive season when we have innumerable tasks at hand. Our purchases are sent to us nicely packed and boxed saving us from the hassle of logistics.

But at times its difficult for many of us to skim through all the e-commerce email notifications and visit individual E-tailers to go through the deals. I so wished to have a consolidated platform which represents all the online shopping sites in India and has all the bundled offers, coupons and discounts displayed on. Then, I got to know about Indiashopps.com. It is an elaborate website which teems with all the lucrative deals going on in the online world. It is a wonderful platform which makes the experience of online shopping more convenient, frugal and time-saving. I could easily go through all the deals and campaigns being run by the major players in the market and could compare prices online. It definitely came to my rescue as it not only reduced my shopping time to half but also made me aware of many other deals being advertised online which I was oblivious about otherwise. The striking feature about the platform is that they have an entirely separate section for coupons. This section boasts of all the top brands and sizzling deals along with all the new offers being introduced in the market. So, every time you log in, you will update yourself with all the alluring deals of the season. I enjoyed shopping at Indiashopps.com. It is a medley of all the online offers which will definitely please any shopper looking for a great assortment of products at the best prices. It so stands true to its motto- Compare n Save
